Dylan Raiola

I just heard a rumor. Admittedly it’s a rumor.

That Mahomes is going to be at the game on Saturday.
This just seems like a hope and a prayer. Yes, Dylan works out with him, but Mahomes is 100% behind Tech. He pumped a couple million into their program just this year/earlier this summer. If he would go to a college game, I'd bet more than likely go the Tech's.

There's all sorts of reasons and examples for celebs and specifically pro athlete celebs adopting other teams as casual favorites or just attending games because it's fun. Dwayne Wade was a regular at Nebraska games for a few years due to Gabrielle Union's influence, but has also been active around the Marquette program as well. Mike Evans has been to a number of Nebraska games during his pro career because he's good buddies with Kenny Bell, same w/ Taylor Lewan bc of Will Compton.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see Patrick attend one of Dylan’s games, but I’m sure it would have to be a scenario like this where he has on off weekend and he isn’t needing any therapy from his previous game and NU being an evening game or late afternoon game.  Easy flight to Lincoln or Lubbock with his private plane timeshare.

If last year was any indication for this year, he likes to attend a couple of the football games of the HS my son attends because Nagy’s son is the QB and they have a big opening season game tonight.  That may be it for his in person football watching for the weekend.

I keep seeing this idea that it's a battle of QB's. Raiola will have some plays, but it's really going to be Nebraska's defense and run game vs Shadeur and his WRs.

DR has been sacked once in two games. It was on the first play of our two minute offense against UTEP that the drive still ended in 7.

Rhule talked about it in his presser today, but he pretty much said everyone on the offense needs to get better to match the level of Dylan. Whether that is getting into your playbook so that the offense has more options if the opponent does something you didn't gameplan against, or just upping your craft so that you can catch some of these balls that Dylan has been throwing (Lloyd's motion wheel). Murray (the guy in the video above) points out on a play that Banks needs to get on his wheels on a play because the balls going to come out on time whether you're in the correct spot or not.

Maybe McGuire needs to get on the WRs butts a little more so that they're giving top effort every play.

Was 18/18 on passes under 10 yards.

Colorado blitzed 17 times on his 32 dropbacks.  He was pressured 11 times.
Isn't that incredible ?!   17  f#&%ing blitzes !!!!!  And people be complaining that he didn't throw down field enough.

I thought he played amazing.

It was his 2nd college game.  He followed the game plan perfectly and played it safely.  Dump it down or throw out of bounds.  We will take some shots.  We won't turn it over.  We will live for another down.

Dylan didn't fumble in the pocket or fumble snaps.  He didn't chuck it and throw interceptions because "internet Bob" wants big plays because he's drunk.

Most teams want Nebraska to turn the ball over.  They actually expect it.  Alsways help them to win and us Lose.  Look at past 20 years of losing games....  fumbles, interceptions, sacks, huking and chuking with desperation.

Dylan said NOPE.  I got this.  And then He simply beat Colorado by 18 points.  And moved on to the next opponent.

Like I said, he played great !!!  And I am so happy to see it.

PS.  Maybe by the time we play USC, some of the downfield shots will connect more easily.

Not complaining. I think he’s playing awesome in just two games in college. Just stating what I think he (and the rest of the offense) could work on this week against a weaker opponent.
