Dylan Raiola

247 Georgia:

This is obviously something that has picked up quickly with his recruitment in terms of the potential momentum for Nebraska. On the surface, Georgia got Raiola's commitment over Nebraska in May. Nebraska got him back on campus, but that was not seen as significant.

What seemingly has changed the calculus is the potential return of Carson Beck as a top 5 QB in college football. Yes, Nebraska appears poised to add Kyle McCord, but that is not an equal scenario in terms of QB play this season. Also have the scenario where Georgia beat out the Huskers with the thought that Beck would be a one-and-done starter. Now, with both schools potentially having a QB with starting experience, the family connection could play a larger role for Nebraska.

In the end, this is now a battle for Georgia to keep one of its two QB commitments in the fold. Also does make Ryan Puglisi's place in the class even more important. We will dig in and find out what we are hearing from Georgia's side.
