I'm not sure I'm ever going to forgive William Jennings Bryan for his act, now that you mention it.

Not only that, but who was the AD in '68 when he had a perfectly good and supported opportunity to fire Devaney then? And then Osborne in after '77? Sheesh. Looking at it this way, Pedersen had it right all along. Frickin Perlman.

I'm pretty chapped at James K Polk over all of this. If he doesn't get all "manifest destiny" on us, Nebraska is one of the westernmost schools. Boom, instant recruiting gold mine.

I said something like this a few pages ago.

I completely agree with you, except I would use knitting needles. Unless you're looking for the most damage done. Crochet needles have hooks at the ends of them, which just isn't sensible...

I stand corrected. I had envisioned "pointy" needles but, now that you mention it, maybe I make the entry hole with the knitting needles and finish up the job with the crochet hooks.

Yep. Landlord is Huskerboards General Sherman. Which is fitting since he's moving to Atlanta.
