I guess the media [] tag is just not equipped to handle those links...anyway we can get underneath the hood and tweak that?

 
I don't think it's the BB code tag - I think it's the sites from which they are trying to embed. The way it appears, the media tag should parse and display correctly for any flash-based movie - assuming that the site on which it resides doesn't prevent it.

 
That I don't know. I've been looking at the files to see if I can spot which one controls that tag, but I'm not finding it. I thought it'd be a function, but the function.php file doesn't mention it.
