I had to move a conversation I had with EZ-E from a recruit's thread to the Tangent Thread. :lol: I guess he did not like being told his take was misinformed.

A week after EZ-E threw a fit that I did not believe his "inside" information in the TJ Boller thread, he is back to make another dig at me. Last week, I posted to leave the thread about the Boller recruitment. He responded by saying "I started it". A sign of his 6 year old maturity...oh wait, I meant maturity after 6 years. I moved everything to the Tangent Thread, again stating to leave the thread for Boller's recruitment. Now, he is calling me out in the thread without even trying to hide it as a comment about Boller.
Banning seems over-the-top here, but he is on a short leash. Thus, I am heavily considering a suspension to let him know that our oversight of his content is strict given he is a previously banned member.
As we usually do, I do not want to be the one to make the sole decision here, since this member is having a problem with me. I would appreciate if one of you makes that call.

I refreshed my memory a bit by reading what was in the Tangent Thread between you two.
This is exactly who EZ-E is and has been. Despite his claim that you were the one who derailed that thread, it's not true. He made a claim that (at the time) had no proof. You called him out for this and asked for a source, which resulted him in responding with coy and childish quips because he couldn't provide one. You then (rightly) ended the debate and moved everything to a tangent thread.
Overall, kind of a silly debate to begin with, but you asked a fair question. He couldn't provide an adequate answer and knew he couldn't, so he instead chose to act poorly. Now that he claims there's proof, instead of sharing this information and letting it be, he also had to take a shot at you.
My conclusion - EZ-E does not qualify for suspensions given his history and the clear call-to-action we gave him to behave. Anything worthy of a suspension for him should be a bannable offense. This behavior is clearly objectionable. He's picking fights and picking fights with a mod no less. I said from the beginning I was neutral about his return and his margin for error should be nil. In order to stay true to myself, I cast my vote to ban and just be done with his BS. If this is what his "value" is to the board, then I think it's pretty garbage.

To be fair, I'm not really sure EZ was really the instigator here. He wasn't the first one to call the other "completely misinformed" and the fish tank reference and "sounds good, bud" aren't exactly lacking snarkiness.
There is a lot more to Rivals than just three random guys who have put in a pick for Wisconsin (probably just playing follow-the-leader). Close said before that happened that he really liked Nebraska's chances and even after the other picks came in said Wisconsin "may" lead but he still really liked Nebraska's chances. That's not exactly an exaggeration to say that "Rivals" thinks Nebraska leads.
Find to ask if there is a link or more information. If there isn't, either state you don't believe it or point to other information. Once the rest of it starts coming in, I have a hard time faulting someone else for responding (mostly) in-kind.

I can’t see how my response to that post was snarky. Still, I agree I got chippy during the back and forth.
I am not worried about the initial debate. My problem is with him trying to stir more s#!t up a week later after being told to leave it out of that thread. I even invited him to DM or talk in the Woodshed.

Regardless of whether he felt slighted or wronged after that initial conversation, I think his most recent behavior is irresponsible even if it's not an overly egregious transgression. It's not doing anything to advance the topic. Its primary purposes were to gloat and pick a fight.
Ultimately, it seems like a silly situation to result in a permaban, but I personally don't believe he qualifies for suspensions. That's just me evaluating EZ-E individually and on his situation's merits.
