f#*k

This is going to be highly unpopular so you can save your holier than thou admonitions....or flame away. IDGAF

I am f#&%ing sick and tired of hearing about BLM, protests, riots, systemic racism, Covid, vaccines, Trump, civil unrest and every other f#&%ing thing that has come to be associated with the last 2-3 f#&%ed up years in this f#&%ing country.

I know things aren’t right and there is a lot of injustice. Things need to be fixed. But I’m still fed up with hearing about all this bulls#!t. F#¢k.

Agree with most of this too

Dude, I am with you.  Only weirdos are not tired of it.  I don't hear/see as much about Covid anymore, I really think that the media is over it, it doesn't "sell" like it once did.

Also, this freaking school year needs to end.  April is taking forever!

As long as you don't equate "being sick of hearing of them" with "they are done/solved/fixed/over", then it's all good. I'm tired of them too.

I hear what you’re saying but the problem is, I don’t even care anymore. I just want it to go away. Like the other day, when that young black man got shot after the stupid b!^@h saying TASER TASER TASER. I sort of get how the taser is shaped like a gun and she made a seemingly honest mistake (although that kind of mistake should never ever be made). But instead of feeling sorry for the kid and his family, I just really didn’t want to hear from his mom and family how this shouldn’t have happened. I watched the video. I was trying to say this in the George Floyd verdict thread. If you have a warrant out for your arrest and you resist and try to get away, s#!t like this can happen. I don’t think it matters whether you are black or white. Follow orders, don’t fight back and you will end up alive 99.999% of the time. I’ve just grown callous to every f#&%ing thing being portrayed as police brutality and a race issue. He brought this on himself even as I acknowledge a trained police officer should never ever mistake a Taser for their Glock. Result....instead of me being understanding and feeling sorry for this kid and his family, I just don’t want to hear about it from them.

I think the stuff we don't hear about is probably a lot worse when it comes to the frequency. E.g., there are probably a lot of examples like George Floyd where the person didn't die. No one should have to be in handcuffs on the pavement with someone kneeling on them for 10 minutes over $20, even if they don't get physically hurt by it. We're able to choose to just not watch the videos or read about it but some people have this kind of thing happening in their neighborhoods or happening to them. I don't feel like I need to watch every video or invest in every event but I keep in mind it is nice to be able to avoid doing that and not have to worry about getting pulled over or questioned or arrested based on what I look like. It does bring you down but you can ignore it when you want to.

I'm sick of it all too, but look at it this way; We're here now because we got sick of it before and ignored it until it blew up in our collective faces. This is years of backwards policies, unequal punishments, or even lack of punishment coming to a head. It's a reckonning. It's uncomfortable, painful, and annoying, but it has to happen for us to move forward.

Just like we can ignore posters instead of complaining about them :) . Been saying that one for awhile!  Ha

Yeah, I know, still tired of hearing about all of it.

I’ve been purposefully avoiding almost all news for at least the last 2 years. I guess this s#!t is annoying me because it is impossible to avoid it. I get why it’s happening, why it needs to happen but I just wish it was over with. Used to be I wanted it over because that would mean s#!t got fixed. Now I’m just a selfish bastard that doesn’t want to hear about it anymore.

It's ok to tune out for awhile. Good for the old mental health. I'm kinda of depressed knowing none of this will probably even be fixed in my lifetime...

JFC.....I’ve got two guys that have worked for me for over 20 years each and I swear to god they are getting dumber by the day. Simple f#&%ing s#!t and they can’t seem to figure it out anymore.

Is this a common problem with aging employees? I’m supposed to be reaping the benefits of their experience but increasingly it feels like I’m running a f#&%ing daycare for the mentally challenged.

You're b!^@hing to huskerboard about stupid people???

Okay, Ive had enough technological upgrades to last me for awhile. Within the last week I’ve gotten a new phone, changing from Android to iOS. And today am upgrading my work computer from Windows 7 to Windows 10 just so I can install the new version of Quickbooks software which was going to hit end of life on May 31st. f#&% Ive had enough change for this week.

Why can’t s#!t last for more than 2 or 3 years? Just when you get comfortable and all figured out, it has to be upgraded.
