It seems like a LOT of asshats have taken up residence on this site.  More than usual.  Maybe more than anytime I can recall over the past 15 years that I've lurked and then posted on Huskerboard.  You're really dragging this site down.  Maybe you'll kill it off eventually.  Oh well. 

You know, I've posted on this site for a long time.  For most of that time I did my level best not to offend anyone.  I'd mostly post goofy, funny, innocuous crap or tidbits of miscellany so as not to offend anyone.  Lately though, there are a group of posters who go out of their way to nitpick and starts arguments over anything and everything.  Is it a form of entertainment for them?  Is it fun to be a trolling asshat?  People who try not to be asshats are annoyed by it.  I know I am.  

I'm not going to call out the particular f*u*c*k*i*n*g asshats I have in mind.  There are quite a few.  But it's just not worth the effort.  So f*u*c*k you very much.   You've gotten  my ire up.  That is all.

IMO, it's not the worst it's ever been. But there are and probably always will be the handful of nitpickers and people just looking for an argument. The thing I find annoying (among many) are those who you mostly agree with but they want to laser focus on the few things where you slightly differ and then they proceed to make a mountain out of that molehill and act like you're the problem. I see that quite a bit.

Also, as hard as many try to be reasonable, this country is more and further divided than at any time I can recall. (Maybe the late 60's ?)  TDS is a thing just as irrational unfounded support for Trump is a thing. Mix those two things together and you get a combustible substance.

I am guessing I am a f#&%ing asshat.  I'll gladly wear that as a badge of honor.

You can play the "woe if me card" all you want, but you were repeatedly told how COVID payments to hospitals work and that that there are no financial incentives for hospitals to miscount COVID deaths.  And yet you kept repeating the "deaths are overcounted due to financial incentives" trope.
