F*U*C*K*I*N*G ASSHATS

I am guessing I am a f#&%ing asshat.  I'll gladly wear that as a badge of honor.

You can play the "woe if me card" all you want, but you were repeatedly told how COVID payments to hospitals work and that that there are no financial incentives for hospitals to miscount COVID deaths.  And yet you kept repeating the "deaths are overcounted due to financial incentives" trope.

Huh. Now it looks like the exact opposite is true. Fancy that.

Just to be clear for those who don't click the link, the data is being fudged to make covid look less severe.

States may be fudging data to give the false impression that the coronavirus is under control, the Associated Press reports.
In Florida, scientist Rebekah Jones -- who developed the state's coronavirus dashboard -- said she was fired for refusing to manipulate data to bolster plans to reopen.

In Georgia, a graph was doctored, with dates switched around, to make it look as if cases were going down and giving a false impression the the virus was under control.

The problem they're going to have is that other countries are going to post their data, and when it doesn't match up with America's, it's going to be a little suspicious.

Bangladesh has something like 26,000 cases and 900 deaths at the moment.

It's an incredibly poor country of 160 million people in a state the size of Arkansas. If hundreds of thousands of Bangledeshi's don't die of COVID-19, you have to wonder what made the U.S., Italy, Spain, and Belgium so deadly.

That those countries are counting every death as Covid and that Bangladesh doesn't?

If the F•U*C*K*I*N*G ASSHATS thread in the Woodshed is going to keep being this polite, I'm heading back up to the civilized world.
