Back in the day when our WRs were OK...but not great and we would go play Texas Tech and their receivers would be catching everything thrown at them......I remember a report about how they would catch tennis balls in practice.  I thought to myself.....why wouldn't Nebraska do something so simple if that helps make difficult catches? 

I have had this same question since hearing about Leach's drill. It's simple enough - why not try it?

It's great to see the contrast between Washington and Mills doing the same drill.  Both are effective in the drill, but go at it a different way.

I saw my father's teams catch tennis balls in practice when I was young, 30+ years ago.  Something I did as a coach as well.
