I'm sure Squre-Enix will eff it up but dang that trailer looked awesome. Fun fact - my first messageboard username was on a Final Fantasy site, Landlord of Sector 7. I guess I'm Landlord of Sector 7 HD now. Rent's going up.

And yeah, since it's multiplatform, I'll look into it on PC--at least they can mod it when (and not likely if) SquEnix messes it up.

That's the original FFVII game from the PSX era on PC, blocky chibi characters, awkward translations, and all. Works with XBox controllers though, so if you're interested, give it a go and play it on your PC.

For what Landlord is referring to, they're remaking FFVII with a more 'adult' looking cast of protagonists from the ground up. So it's probably going to be 2017 before we see it.

 
From what I heard, the remake will indeed be on PC.

This was the game that made me fall in love with the Final Fantasy series (although I'd say it's second favorite to FF IX now), so I'm excited to see how the remake turns out.

Don't know about 7 remake, but yeah SE games are on Steam.

Yup, most AAA games are now released on PC along with the console versions, and typically with (XBox 360/XB1) controller support. Tomb Raider is an excellent example of this--KB/M or Controller both work fine, so if you have a HTPC instead of a console...
