Guys, we received the following email from former member cbert:

Is there a way I could regain access to huskerboard? Thanks

To refresh our memories, HERE is the first mention of him and how he came to be banned.

I'm pretty convinced he's not FLU - FLU would simply create a new account and log in through TOR or whatever onion routing he uses. But his very first post sure makes it clear he had prior knowledge of the board and was no doubt a sock for an earlier, banned account. I've tried to see if I could find anything to link him to whomever he originally was, but I can't find a thing.

If he's not FLU - and, again, I don't think he is - does anyone have any thoughts on how to handle? Do we let him back?

It seems to me like the action that was taken was based on the strong suspicion that he was someone else (FLU) but that now appears to be incorrect. FLU wouldn't send an email like that; he'd just create another account. And I think Illinois is out-of-the-ordinary for FLU's IPs.

Seems like it was an honest mistake on our part due to him happening to sign up in the middle of a FLU-fest. Perhaps another chance is in order.
