Frost needs fired

If his name was Mike Riley or anyone else you’d be convinced he needs to be fired. But because his name is “Frost” we’re “so close”. Pathetic. 4 years of this trash staff and you still haven’t seen enough to make a judgement call? Week zero was a massive red flag/precursor to this season.

Who would you like to have coach Nebraska?

Very true. It's called familiarity bias where objective decisions are skewed because the decision maker maintains a preference for what they are familiar with. In this case some fans maintain a preference for Frost because of his ties to Nebraska and his status as a former player.  If those preferences and familiarity with Frost did not exist, there would be even more calls for his firing.

Looks like somebody passed Psych 106.

You're exactly correct and the calls for firing the coach would be both of 85% I suspect.

Continuity is only needed if the program is actually making progress. Frost's teams find ways to lose in the most amazing ways in year 4 as they did in year 1. That shouldn't happen. What progress has Frost shown in the 3 1/2 years he has been here? What makes you think that Frost is going to be able to change the trajectory of this program?
Last night.

One game. Let's see if it continues for the rest of the season.

But it's not really just one game.  It the two games before that where we went on the road against a Top 20 opponent and played well enough to win.  And it was the two games before that where we also dominated lesser opponents.

Really the Illinois game is the outlier at this point.  Yes, there were big screw-ups - mostly in special teams - that need to not keep showing up.  But in the past five games we've dominated three lesser opponents and went toe-to-toe with two Top 20 - now nearly Top 10 - teams on the road.  That's a pretty good stretch.

Mav, I somewhat agree with you and maybe I am putting too much on the loss to Michigan State. NU looks to be getting better and maybe that will turn into more wins in the 2nd half of the season. I have just been too positive in the past, and trying to take a more even-keel approach this season.

Close doesn't count.

But only Alabama has beaten two currently-ranked teams.  Only nine other teams have beaten one.

We should have beaten one and are not that far from beating a second.  That's a big improvement from where we've been.
