Gameday Contest

So guys, what do you want?

Winner gets $25 to any store we have. Husker gear, huskervideos, etc. Everyone, including moderators can play and win.

The winner of the contest must get the score dead on. Not closest wins. If two people pick identical scores and that comes out we must have tiebreakers. That will just be closest. If no one picks the correct score, that $25 will roll over to the next week and now the amount is $50......once someone picks the correct score, the amount returns back to $25.

Or as chad says have three winner: not sure how to break that down, but you get the point.

Plain and simple I want to make it as simple as possible for folks to win and get some really good pub off of this and drive traffic up. This will do it especially if it goes up to 100 or 150 bucks

I like the idea of rolling it over.

Yes, having three winners would drive members predictions, but if someone has the chance for a large prize due to the roll over, I think that would generate word of mouth beyond the board, and might prompt some folks to join and participate. Kind of like the lottery - three small prizes don't generate nearly the participation that one large prize generates.

So then what is the tiebreaker if two people pick the score ????

I was thinking offensive passing yards and then rushing second, then allowed passing and then allowed rushing.

I say we just do closest to the number actual and not do something like the price is right where if your over, your f'd. :koolaid2:

I think it will blow up...especially when I put the amount of money you could win inthe football forum each week.

That's two more fields that I would have to keep track of and adjust the spreadsheet for. I would say if the first two don't break it, whoever posted first should win. I think the rest sounds solid!

Thank you very much for the feedback, scrap my idea.

For now the tiebreaker stands at passing yards, running yards, and then first to post...I will post the new rules tomorrow around midday...anyone else please chime in and give your ideas before then
