I would love to try to get him! He is leaving notre dame and he would be the best qb here! Seems like a few nd fans are bummed because they thought he was the best qb on the team.

 
Is there any smoke to him possibly coming to Nebraska, or is it just a situation where we're hoping that we pick up a really talented player who's transferring elsewhere?

I'd love to see him come to Nebraska, but we don't have a history of attracting talented players who've decided to transfer (see: Russell Wilson).

Dozens of schools are interested and I don't know if we are in the mix. I'm hoping Riley will attempt to get him at least. He would have more talent around him here than he had at notre dame.

It'd certainly be worth a try. We have a lot of QBs on our roster right now, but TA is the only known quantity, and what we know isn't all that great.

No smoke for NU. Smoke for Texas, Bama, LSU, FSU, and Florida.

Golson had diddly squat around him and I still thought he played well. . He's faster and has better accuracy imo.

How does Golson have "diddly squat" around him? Isn't ND consistently ahead of NU in recruiting rankings? I would think there is more talent around him. Plus, I would think most NU fans think Brian Kelly is a better offensive-mind than Beck.

Yeah, there probably is not a huge difference between the two.

 
Here are stats for Golson and Armstrong. To me, not a huge difference, except for completion percentage. Armstrong's rushing yardage helps make up for a difference in passing yardage.
