I agree that Taylor is the spark plug that gets this offensive engine firing on all cylinders. However, the team without a doubt needs to execute better regardless of who is quarterback.

Gutsy but dumb. always give your self a chance. Go to double OT and triple if necessary.
No that was a mission statement. Faithe in his kids to do the job. His recruiting will benefit from it. They play to win, and he will be respected for it by many.
I had serious concerns about this game, but when our 2 QB's were hurt, I knew it would be close. Cody played better than I expected, but your team came to play. Your coach has changed the mental attitude of the program.
I know most are terribly disappointed right now, but this was a great game for Iowa State and its future.

Nebraska didn't beat us today...we beat ourselves.
Now that that is out of my system...I beg to differ with Paul Rhodes being a great coach. What kind of great coach has his team take a knee with 30 seconds on the clock, a wind at his back and all three time outs remaining? Especially when the pass offense was picking Nebraska apart during every quarter with the wind! That was a perfect example of a coach playing not to lose and not a coach playing to win.

The team needs to make a video of all the HORRIBLE officiating calls and send it straight to the NCAA and request an investigation. I was not on the conspiracy theory side until now. Hell Mizzou did it too us for a fairly clean hit. At this point i have no problem ratting out dad too mom.

I hate ISU, but I love Paul Rhodes. I knew ISU would come to play. Even though they were beat on talent from the top of the roster to the bottom. ISU made a consistent effort to run the ball and did a good job of tackling. That makes for a long day with a 3rd string QB.
Well, I was hoping you'd take a shot downfield too. Because I thought there was a 50-50 chance we could get a pick and make a big play ourselves. Obviously Rhodes thought that too, and decided to take his risk in overtime, which almost worked.

With 30 seconds left and the wind at our backs...pick a 50 yard hail mary and there wouldn't have been enough time left to capitalize on it. Rhodes should have taken a shot at it instead of playing for the overtime and then trying to get gutsy...oh well, he'll figure it out on his own in time since he never actually asks me my opinion...

but would you be saying that it rhoads did go for the hail mary and we picked it off and returned, or something equally crazy. i think it was a tough call and gutsy either way. i think he gave his team the better chance to win doing what he did.
only thing i would have done differently, even though that fake was dangerously close to completed, is i would have lined up my offense instead of go for the fake.
