Good showing so far by Big1Little11

Okstate did a bang up job last night against a horrible Ohio state team.More proof the Big1Little11 conference is just that.
Ohio State was good down the stretch in the Big 11. The Big 12 has only 1 loss so far in bowl games(2-1), with 4 more to go. Your argument would be a little bit better if Michigan beats Texas, but I don't see it happening. We'll see how your claim holds up after January 4th.
Young ran wild on Michigan tonight. Great game to watch and a good win for Texas. I think that proves that Texas deserved to be there over Cal, especially with their showing in the Holiday bowl. The Big 10 is a decent conference, but I think the bowl games are showing that the best conference is most likely the SEC or Big 12, followed by the ACC and then the Big 10 or Pac 10.

I dont know what the score of the Iowa - ASU game was. Actually, Iowa beat LSU today. Perhaps you want to check your schedule again. So what does that say about what youre talking about?

The SEC is definately the most competetive conference. hands down.

SEC is the best conference overall. More teams that can compete nationally. Which begs the question: Why is Auburn number 3?

ASU 44- Iowa 7

SEC looks to be a very strong conference top to bottom, however, the Big 12 has a team in the national championship and a team that just won the rose bowl. The Big 12 North was mediocre at best this season, but both teams from the North that qualified for bowls won their games.

Auburn had an unbelievable year, Tennessee played well, Georgia had a good season, but was a disappointment because of expectations for them, Florida tanked again, and LSU came back strong after a shaky start. I think that Auburn is more deserving of being in the title game than USC. Earlier this season I thought Oklahoma was overrated because they were less than impressive for quite a few weeks, but they seemed to kick it into another gear towards the end.

You asked a question and I answered it Benji. That wasn't a taunt, that was a factual answer to your question. Look it up if you can't handle hearing the truth from someone else. I didn't mention that Iowa loss in the first place. I read and research before I post.

Im not sure but I think we were talking about this years bowl games.

Actually, I am sure thats what the discussion was about.

This year, as in two days ago, Iowa beat LSU. They did not play ASU.

I dont know what kind of research youre doing, but perhaps reading comprehension would be a good first step to improving your 'factual research'.

For example...'I dont know what the score of the Iowa - ASU game was'

This is not a question. Its a declarative statement. I did not ask a question here.

Happy New years. (This is not a question, either)

since your really into facts and this years games benj, the fact is the big 12 has simply outperformed the big 10 overall in the bowls. end of debate. what else you got? youre makin it too easy on us brutha.

Cal? Please. The pack ten is the same thing as the big1little11. USC and then mediocrity at best.
I'm sorry, you're right, it wasn't a question, it was a declaration of ignorance. You said "you didn't know" meaning you haven't done your homework or know your stuff(doing some research). Iowa got thrashed by what you called yourself "a mediocre at best team." And like Bob said, you walk right into em benji. Is it hard to walk with your foot in your mouth, because you get plenty of practice.(rhetorical question). :)

Hey benj go post your results on the Joe Pa is to old to coach website Im sure they will agree with you. ( Does two yards out of bounds ring a bell) :steam

Capital One Bowl

Iowa 30

LSU 25

Iowa sends Saban out with a whimper

Im still not sure what in the world you are talking about.

IOWA DEFEATED LSU ON JANUARY 1ST 2005. IOWA DID NOT LOSE TO ASU ON JANUARY 1ST 2005. Also, LSU is in the SEC.

You should be sorry.

No, two yards out does not ring a bell. I obviously dont live in Nebraska bizarro reality where we make up games and results in our heads. So I can only imagine what that means to you guys. And I have posted on joemustgo.com although i cant wait for autumn 2005.

This is absolutely hilarious coming from the guy who still thinks that Penn State was the national champion in 1994. :rollin That was 10 years ago, that ASU-Iowa game was this season. I wasn't disputing the fact that Iowa beat LSU on January 1st of 2005. :wtf That "mediocre Pac 10 team"(ASU) also beat another Big 10(11) softie(Purdue), but that was last year(December 31st, 2004), since nothing that happened before yesterday counted for anything ever according to your last post.

You might not have been disputing anything...but in a way thats worse.

You really have trouble with reading comprehension. The topic of discussion was this years bowls games, and you came back with 'research' from games earlier in the season. How is that relevant to the discussion.

And where did I say Penn State was national champion in 1994? The point of my posts illustrated that you are lucky the NC was handed to you by voters, rather than having to earn it on the field.

Do we need to schedule remedial classes? Be ready. The short bus will pick you up at 8am.

You said the big 12 has only one good team, well Texas beat the big 10's best team.

and if all the rest of our teams besides Oklahoma suck, and Texas beat your best team, then

all the big 10s teams suck.

secondly big 10 3-3

big 12 4-2 so far

point made

Good statistics. Lets take a closer look.

Big1Little11 4-2 bowl games.

Wins - Iowa St. by 4 over Miami of Ohio. of ohio. MAC team. 4 points.

CO- by 5 over UTEP. UTEP. Dont even know what conference they come from.

Tech. Great win for that program. Didnt they light you up for 70 this year?

Tex. Last second field goal. squeak by mich. Quality game quality win.

Losses- Okiestate. Blownout by Ohio state

A&m Blownout by Tenn

Big10 3-3 bowl games.

Wins - Iowa- Last second win over defending national champion and higher ranked LSU. SEC team

Ohio state- Played like crap all year. See above. Big1Little11 team

Minnesota- Defeated alabama. Neither ranked SEC team

Losses- Michigan(11)- Lost to #5 ranked Texas on a last second field goal.

Wisc. (16) - Lost by 3 to #8 ranked georgia SEC team

Purdue (NR)- Lost by 4 to #21 Arizona state. PAC1 team

So if you look at the statistics, the Big1Little11 has a better record. You have benefitted tremendously from playing lower ranked teams, from mid major conferences. TTech can be proud....Texas, give credit where credit is due. By the skin of their teeth. Both conf. losses have been blowouts. Not coincidentally by teams from major conferences. Hmmm.

The BigTen on the other hand played higher ranked opponents in each instance of loss in three losses by a combined 8 points. All from major conferences. Two victories of which come from the previously agreed upon strongest conference, The SEC.

You can have your 4-2 record, point made. Good thing there are conferences like the MAC and wherever the heck UTEP is from. OTherwise, your record would be 2-4. THats if you played with the big boys. Hopefully, you guys can go 6-0 next year. I hear Toledo and Marshal will be 1-2 in the MAC, connecticut is looking strong, heck you never know, that briar patch known as the ivy league might need someone to play in a bowl.
