Defensively, I have no idea. Suh is definitely up there in the modern era. Woodsen was a hell of a player too. I can't form an unbiased opinion since I'm relatively young, so the older defensive players are tough for me to rate.

Barry with over 2600 yards rushing at 7.6 ypc. 37 TDs in 1988. Uh, yeah. Maybe the greatest year a running back has ever had in college football. Led the Cowboys to a 10-2 record and a win in the Holiday Bowl.

Before Barry: In 1986 Okie Lite did not even get a bowl invite. And that was with Thurman Thomas at RB.

No way in hell you pull Fitzgerald for Newton. Can had what one year. Come on Knapp

And Reggie Bush is IN. The guy did it all for USC and was the center of every defensive game plan for opponents.

The Selmons from Boomerland should be in there as one entry.

I don't think Bo should be at #1. Went to the 1982 game in Auburn and I sure wasn't impressed as weren't our Huskers who demolished them 41-7. I couldn't find Bo's stats for that game but he wasn't in their top two rushers and was a non-factor in the game. He was a great player with high commercial exposure for sure, but #1? nah.

I'd like to agree with you but I keep coming back to what Auburn has been like since Newton left...

 
I'm making a couple of changes to the list and I'm noticing a few things. First, this is really running-back heavy. We have 24 running backs out of 64 spots. That seems excessive, but I don't see a guy who doesn't belong. Maybe the biggest bias is that the top nine spots are all Running Backs, and the first non-running back is Tommie Frazier.

Second, there are seven Huskers on our list. At first blush that may seem biased, this being a Husker forum and all, but I checked out Sports Illustrated's All-Century Team, and out of 85 players they tabbed, six were Huskers.

I've added Tebow, Suh, Reggie Bush and Rich Glover, and I removed Terrell Suggs, Glenn Davis, Trev Alberts and Tony Mandarich.

You should move Tebow in front of Frazier, because I want to see the Dude's head explode.

 
Adrian Peterson - I don't remember much of his college days but what I do remember would say top 100 easily maybe in the 50-70 range.

Cam Newton - absolutely not maybe top 150 list. He was a back up at Florida before transfering. Had 1 good year during his career.

Colt McCoy - no maybe a top 150 list. The only Colt McCoy highlights worth watching is when Suh threw him 10 yards. Shipley is what made Colt look good.

Deion Sanders

Ed Reed

Eric Berry

Kordell Stewart

Ndamukong Suh - Absolutely should be on this list. He was dominate and hard to block. I'd say 25-40 range.

Reggie Bush - Yes I'd list him in the 45-65 range. He was a great player that was fun to watch.

Tim Tebow - This one I don't know. Tim had some great numbers but my opinion they are inflated a bit just cause of the surrounding players he had.
