Decent weekend, pitching wasnt a strong suit but the time will come. Definitely a better start than last year atleast

Nebraska's bullpen had a good weekend, despite the game against Oregon State.

Its always nice to see a good start and I am happy that they went at least 2-2. However, I don't put a lot into the first 8-10 games of the season. They are on the road a lot and it takes time to adjust to playing the game in real time.

Also worth mentioning is that there is a difference in taking grounders on an indoor turf field than an actual infield. No matter what people say it takes time adjusting to that and to actually being outside. Warm climate schools have such a huge advantage when it comes to that part of the game.

Regardless, walking 11 batters with a veteran pitching staff was disappointing. Plus, building a culture that of plays hard every game which did not happen this weekend.

To me, Bummer was the biggest let-down this weekend. Oreg. State is a Top 10 team so the runs were less the issue. It was the fact that he only lasted 3 innings. I know it is early, so he'll have his chance to get the rust out soon. Most positive this weekend, was Chance Sinclair (especially if Kubat is still out for an extended period of time).
