I know I always say it...but if you own a gun you are part of the problem.Blasting the brains of kids onto classroom walls, just like the Founding Fathers intended.
The obvious solution is to have guns planted strategically behind drywall throughout the school. That way teachers can literally punch a hole into the wall and grab a locked and loaded AR-15 to save the day - and use their God given 2nd Amendment rights at the same time.

Anyone that owns a gun cares more about guns than kids/people. Period. When will kids matter more than guns?
This is a common sense thing.
1. You don't need a gun.
2. If you want to hunt, you can rent a gun like you do a library book.
3. If you want to shoot for sport, you can rent a gun like you do a library book.
If you are a D and own a gun you are literally part of the problem too. The only people that are part of the problem are gun owners.
I have a friend who is dying, he has about 10 guns. he already is no longer moving around so he asked me to "get rid" of his guns. He is in a memory care place and needs the help.
I have no idea what to do with his guns when he dies, do I bring them to the police? Do I smash them? I am not selling them so that they can end up in some nutjobs hands.
I will literally have to google search what to do.
Just stop buying guns. Stop being part of the problem.

Thank you!I called the local police department non-emergency number and scheduled a time to drop off 7-10 long guns. My Dad has some form of dementia, and my Mom wanted the guns out of the house before he did anything stupid with them. I called, scheduled a time, an officer came to my car in the parking lot, collected them, asked if I wanted a 'receipt of disposal' and left. Took less than 5 minutes from the time I got into a parking spot to the time I left.
Life shouldn't be that way. Our society is sick and as a society we haven't had to courage to address this issue head on. Yes, GOP is the major stumbling block - beholding to the NRA as they are. But it isn't just the GOP. Think back on how the country united after 911. The death of nearly 3K people was a shock to us. The problem with gun violence is that it was 1 here, 2 there, 5 hear etc - drips and drabs. So we keep on going in our very merry, false ignorant way. Yet 911 is 'small' in comparison to the mass shooting victims during the past 10 years.Prayers to all the victims, families and that community. it's too bad that's all we can do, instead of doing something sensible. I am reminded of an old Onion headline every time this happens, thinking/hoping one day, we won't continue to be this dumb. I mean this is over 10 years old and can be written nearly monthly. SMDH

It's why I also have a countdown clock....2 more school years left, then my baby is out of HS. I know college campuses have had issues with gun violence as well, but not nearly as often as HS.Seems like there's 4-5+ HS shootings ever year, where as college is 1 every 4-5 years. Just get her through HS, with no major trauma, that's the goal.
Please tell me your are anti-gun violence and that you DO NOT own a gun, please.Life shouldn't be that way. I am a pro-life voter. I am pro-life before and AFTER birth. Therefore, my vote will only go to the candidates who will work towards ending this this massacre. This IS THE ISSUE of our time. Not the economy, not Ukraine or Israel and not even defeating Trumpism. If we cannot protect our own, how can we be expected to be the world's policeman/savior? This may mean, I may be voting straight party Dem for the first time in my 68 years.
