There are countries with strict moral and religious codes that don't have this level of gun violence.

There are secular and socialist countries that don't have this level of gun violence. 

All countries have similar commonalities of mental illness. 

So what's really up with the U.S.?  Why are we so defined by our guns?

Good question.  Show me countries with similar cultural issues and I'll show you that same country that has similar, or worse, violent crime rates.  

You can rightly, and astutely, ask the very same question about our sexuality...to be discussed in another appropriate thread.

Man, I've really tried not to let you drag down every intelligent conversation in P&R, but there you are.

What are your cultural issues? A less judgmental, less traditional approach to human sexuality? That would cover most of Europe, including a UK you just accused of promoting pedophilia. Scandinavia has been far more liberal in terms of sexuality than the U.S. for decades. You would also be taken aback by the sexual promiscuity and practices in places like Brazil, the Phillipines, and Japan. The violent crime rates are much lower in those countries. On some level, I think you knew that.

I also mentioned countries with stricter, more traditional moral codes that also have much lower crime rates. Combine the two, and it suggests that sexual mores don't have anything to do with violent crime rates. The U.S. is really alone in its gun deaths. 

You have several posters on here that are asking and answering questions rightly and astutely. The fact that you don't listen to them is on you.

I posted information about violent crime rates across the globe.  Brazil is 9th.  Japan fairs much better than the US.  The Philippines is slightly about 10% better.

The culture of violence.  A variety of city's housing laws, over-reliance of government vs. enabling the people, the talk about reparations when a. they're not from Africa and b. they are ironically fighting for segregation on fronts their non-African parents and grandparents fought for integration.  It's a farce and creates a contemptuous, dependent people who feel stuck, owed, and angrier.  It's not a race issue.  It's a culture issue.  Just look at the most violent cities in this country, and the plurality of issues are from small % areas of the city.  

If you've normalized or are good with those videos, that's our vast difference.  You see ratings.  I see tragedy.  

I haven't mentioned sexuality in general.  I'm calling out the targeted agenda against the kids.  You can generalize what you want to keep your ground.  The targets against the children, in education, the media, etc...appalling.

I've proposed an alternative that it's cultural and even laid out some of what that means.  The deflection to the state level that it's conservative policy holding back these blue mayors...it allows for you to root in I suspect.  Curious why red areas, around the blue cities, in red states, don't have those issues?  

Or we can keep to lazier misnomering and petulance:

Go Blue or go home!  Except many in blue cities don't have one.

Hey Johnny Data?  None of the data remotely supports your claim that violent crime can be traced to an over-reliance of government, or your bizarre pivot to reparations and your desperate factoid that some Black people now WANT segregation. Good Lord.

You came in from the get-go with a premise that America's cultural decline is to blame for violent crime, and your definition of cultural decline has revolved entirely around sexuality. Do you read your own posts?  

Some of the more violent countries actually have more devout church attendance, and some of the least violent countries in the world are progressive socialist havens like Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. Some dictatorships have very low crime. Some war torn nations have a ton of gun violence. Also try not to conflate "crime" into "violent crime." This is the Gun Control thread. 

You have no data. Just a personal gut feeling you're promoting as fact. You seem to have emerged from the original QAnon swamp that launched itself with conspiracy theories linking liberals and Democrats to systemic pedophilia and -- in the same breath -- cannibalism.

If I tell you I find the British reality show with underage nudity skeevy, can you just admit everything you're posting is agenda-driven and factually flawed?
