Hank Hughes no longer with team

any chance or is it even possible VV comes back now??
Damon Benning is looking to ask VV some questions. I'm assuming it's related.

Don't think he'll come back but would be interesting he hear his thoughts.
Not saying he will come back, but is it even an option? Legally can he? Does he have a certain date to decide by?
I believe it would depend if VV signed with an agent. Which I believe he has, which means he cannot come back

Wow. Busy all day and came back to this. Good luck to Hank, seems like a good, professional guy and wish him nothing but the best.

But. Can we shift focus a little bit and talk about how encouraging of a move this is on Riley's end? My absolute biggest fear would be him not getting rid of dead weight, the same way Callahan was undone, and the same way Bo was undone. This is a HUGE statement and a great look for our program going forward. Very, very encouraged by this.

When's the last time we had a coach get fired straight up?
I agree the message this sends is even more important than the specific coaching change. Hopefully this is an indication that the staff will be held accountable and, when they fall short of expectations, they will be replaced. It would seem to signal that MR understands we need to shoot for and hit a higher level. Maybe it doesn't mean all that much but I'm going to keep my hopes up that it does until proven wrong.

slowly but surely this Riley feller is making me like hm. if he hires a well known recruiting d line coach I may even buy a Riled UP! shirt.....for my kid..... who will put it on the dog...who will prolly pee on it at some time....GBR

I think Riley's more of a competitor then he appears. Probable sees the writing on the wall with the balls to the wall approach that Harbaugh uses and doesn't want to fall behind.

First thing I said when I saw this was Thank the Lord!!! Guy was an absolute anchor to the D-line and recruiting.

Isn't Ed Orgeron a D-line coach?
