Has our defense improved in the last two games?

I'm going to go for yeah.

Said before the UCLA game that I thought our defense would be better but wasn't there yet. I was right at the time but was questioning it after Minny. All is not perfect but that is a LOT better.

I think we were fooled by Minnesota. We planned to cover the ends and they ran right at us. Plus, it turns out Minn is no slouch.

I think the Husker D has turned the corner and the players are understanding where they fit in. Now if we could figure out that dink and dunk passing game that's killing us...maybe jump some of those for pick 6's. I'm sure our guys would rather play aggressive and take their chances on leaving open the big play. We had chances at a couple picks but just couldn't pull them in.

They have improved the last 2 games. The attacking style fits our personnel better and really gave Michigan fits today. I was surprised we didn't see more sweep action or misdirection from Michigan. We bottled up Gardiner. I have to think UM was banking that Gardiner would break a few busted plays for big yards but to the defense's credit we bottled him up. We are still missing some initial tackles but it has been improving.

I have to admit, I fully expected Bo to go back to his "contain" philosophy. It's nice to see an aggressive, attacking Blackshirt unit. The way god intended.

Yes, great improvement and I don't see any team left on the schedule with a powerful enough offense to make us pay for having an attacking defense. Correct me if I'm wrong though....................I believe all three can run the ball pretty decent with Iowa probably being the best out of those, but I'm just guessing based on what I've seen, not facts.
