Have we really become more sensitive?

I think society has definitely become more accepting, and that's great. But, sometimes that acceptance borders on over-sensitivity.
Can you give some examples of where acceptance has gone too far?
I would say what has transpired at UC-Berkley over the last year would be an example. From not letting white people cross bridges to rioting in the streets. Granted, I could understand the anger that having some of those speakers come to campus would cause, but it was taken too far when normal college students, who might not even support the ultra-conservative opinion, cant cross the bridge into campus.
Great examples!

How has the "PC Culture" harmed America? As in, what do people want to be doing, but are prevented from doing because it isn't "PC?"

Well I no longer am able to call people f****s and African-Americans (see even this liberal board censors the actual words) and get away with it.

'PC culture' is most often a codified objection to no longer being able to talk about people in ways that doesn't honor their dignity and respect as human beings without getting called out.

Being more sensitive is a good thing. Who wants the people that love them to be insensitive? Being soft is also a good thing. What world would we live in if our hearts were hard as stone?
