A shooting has been reported in the electrical engineering building at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., according to a statement from the school.

It is unknown if anyone has been injured. An alert from the school asks students and faculty to shelter in place while police search the scene. One suspect has been taken into custody, according to the school.

The electrical engineering building is on the northeast side of the Purdue campus.
