*** HB Misc Topic bullsh#t Thread ***

So, last night, i went to dinner after work with a co-worker out here in PA.  This co-worker has told me on a number of occasions that she follows the Huskers because her dad was stationed at Offut when she was in grade school.  

Me:  You heard that Nebraska has a new football coach by now, right?

Her:  OMG, REALLY?  What happened to the old one!??

Me:  He was terrible and they fired him.

Her:  Was everyone shocked?!!!

Me:  No - most of us wanted it that way.

Her:  Where'd they get the new coach from?

Me:  UCF - they were undefeated last year, after being winless 2 years ago.

Her:  Oh, well then he'll turn it around for Nebraska, too, then.  I know they didnt do very well last year.

Me:  It's Scott Frost

Her:  <blank stare>

Me:  He was the QB for the 1997 National Championship team

Food arrives, subject changed to "oh, that looks good"

I didn't expect her to know every detail, but as a self-proclaimed follower of the Huskers, you'd think she'd at least have known there was a new coach.
