UPDATE 2: Heard back from Highway. He said he's loosely affiliated with the guys who run that blog, but that he doesn't personally gain anything from sharing that content. He said he just likes their takes and thinks they're a breath of fresh air. He also said he would stop solely sharing their blogs to start threads.

UPDATE 1: Now, a fourth thread/article along the Big Red Turtle + Coop Boomhauer vein. Added it to the list below for reference. He hasn't seen my PMs and therefore hasn't responded. I don't know if it's because he is either a) intentionally ignoring it or b) can't see the notifications for some reason.

I've noticed Highway6 has a routine of only posting content from a website/blog called BigRedTurtle. Each thread has a link from the same writer - "Coop Boomhauer."

I don't think he's met the standard of "excessive" posting yet, but it seems like a routine. He's been a member since 2015, but has started three threads since July 10, 2017. Each thread goes back to the same site, same writer. I've thought about encouraging him to post from different sites.

Thoughts?

"Hey Highway6! I'm one of the Mods here on Huskerboard and I appreciate your recent contributions you've been making to the board. They've been generating quite a bit of traffic during the doldrums of the off season!

We've noticed the three most recent threads you've started have all linked to articles generated by the same writer (Coop Boomhauer) from the same blog (Big Red Turtle). I don't know if this is your blog or if you have any personal affiliation to it, however, it did raise some minor concerns that you may be marketing this blog for personal reasons. Although we allow people to include links to personal blogs in their signatures, we do not allow routine spamming or plugging of a blog unless OK'd by the board's leadership.

If this is a personal blog, we request you start contributing to the board using article links to other sites or by offering more of your thoughts/opinions in one of our several awesome forums! If this isn't a personal blog and you're just a fan, thanks for sharing it here with the rest of us! But, we still request you provide content from a wider variety of sources, just so there isn't any confusion as to why you may be contributing to the board.

Yeah, I noticed in his last thread he used the term "Nebby" but was referring to Nebraska as "us." That raised a red flag because Nebraska fans don't say "Nebby."

 
I can see he hasn't yet read my PM to him, and he's now posted a fourth thread featuring the same blog/writer. Not sure how else to contact him other than by email, but I'd rather not contact him from my personal once since it's got my name right in it. Any word on those Huskerboard emails?

 
Yeah, I think it's pretty obvious what his plan is.

There is an Articles section of the board that apparently used to be used a bit but has been dead for about five years.  I'll spend some time tomorrow trying to figure it out a bit.  Perhaps we can move them there.

 
Thanks for the assist, Mav. I don't recall this section in the past. Would it sort of be a place for people to shamelessly push Husker related articles/blogs or to push any kind of article?

UPDATE: I sent an email to his registered account email address on Huskerboard. IRL, he shares content from Big Red Turtle's Facebook page, too. I'm still unsure if it's his blog and Coop is a pseudonym, if he's just a fan, etc.
