Actually, the odds go down as more people take the bet.  So, there are a TON of people betting on the Huskers...which is why it's so low.  If there weren't a lot of people betting on us, the odds would be higher that
Im ignorant

I pretty much have my sights set on an 11-1 regular season at this point.  Although 10-2 or 9-3 wouldn't surprise me.  8-4 or worse would be a another huge WTF.

Even if you don't have any confidence in Nebraska making a splash nationally, you have to at least admit we have the smoothest path to win the division out of the legitimate contenders.

I'm pretty surprised to hear you say the bolded.

We don't really have the horses to stop Wisconsin's run game. Hell, we may not even have the defensive coaching staff to stop Wisconsin's run game.

I desperately want to be wrong and go 11-1. I'd be pounding Miller High Lifes with complete euphoria after the final seconds of the Iowa game in this scenario, LLLLLLLOL.

I feel the same. Trying not to though. Would not be surprised to finish 12-2.

I agree with the latter part at least.  Everything I've seen would indicate winning these types of games 49-42 is in line with Frost's vision.

Those are they type of games where NU needs to get up early...
Right. Then you force them to throw to come back quickly which takes them off their game.

Pretty much impossible to be confident about where our defense is going to be come 8/31. Could be good, could be pretty mediocre.

I know. I really am trying.

A mediocre defense if the offense doesn’t get worse would likely mean at least 4 more wins.

Due to the easier schedule I definitely agree.

So it's kind of a weird place to be right now with expectations. My standards are still the same as they were 20 years ago - Winning 10 games in the regular season is a "good" season and winning the conference title constitutes "great." But honestly, I really don't expect that either will happen this season.

However, going 9-3 and* then setting us up for 2020 would feel pretty decent.

*Edit: And having another recruiting class for 2020 on par or better than 2019.
