This isn't a big deal but something that I've wondered about for awhile.

Is it possible to change the logic for when a topic is flagged as "HOT"? Right now I think any thread that has 10 replies is flagged as "HOT". But that means threads from years ago are still flagged as HOT. Perhaps that's how we want it but it would seem to be more appropriate if threads with x number of replies in the last week would be "HOT" or something like that.

Just curious.

 
Through the Control Panel, the only option is the number of posts it takes to make a topic "hot" (which is currently 15). There is no option for, say 5 posts within the last week, or anything like that. Having said that, I'm sure it's possible to change the code, and there may even be a mod for it. But we'll have to dig around to see.

 
I was kind of guessing that's the way it was in code.

Probably not worth putting much effort into. Just thought it might make some threads stand out a little more.
