How the $5 Bits of Broken Chair Trophy Affects Nebraska and Minnesota

@Minnesota_husker I was just going to post, which trophy would people/fans find more fun to actually play for?  Which one represents more what a trophy game is supposed to be about?

a)  Freedom Trophy

b)  Hero's Trophy

c)  $5 bits of broken chair

C is a real trophy. The others are crap put together for marketing or advertising.

I like the bits of broken chair is doing charity with it but these things need to happen naturally.

Nebraska/Iowa should just fight over a golden corn stalk or something.

Something you can easily carry.

I agree. The other two are examples of marketing plots they put out thinking.....well anyone who doesn’t like this must not like freedom or heros.

It it needs to be something totally meaningless other than proving who won the game last.

For my side, and for almost all my fellow Gopher fans (with a few stodgy exceptions that are common to every fan base), we're big, big fans of the Chair. It's a tremendous trophy. There's no doubt in my mind that it will be officially recognized in short order.

I wonder if the original trophy was thrown in the dumpster.

If not, I can see it resurfacing years from now and being sold for a bunch of $ to go to the charity. Or maybe they’ll sell the new one and keep the old.

I feel like the gophers were always onboard.

Sadly I think after Bo left the administration was trying to remove all memory of Bo.

I seem to remember hearing someone with Nebraska has it and was keeping it safe. That was the last i heard of it.
