Of course they are. I alluded to this earlier. The best way to neutralize zone and power is to penetrate. Disrupt time. Knock the blockers and backs of their path. But once again, we let the offense dictate to us. It's such a chickensh#t (yes, I meant that) way of playing defense against that style of offense.I heard a retired coach say that our ends where being chipped by the TE and then being driven back by a big lineman. The TE would knock them off a little a move to the next level. He said the best way to handle this is to drive the TE into the backfield & disrupt the play. He could not say if they were coached to stay at the line or not.
