You knew it was bound to happen, you just kind of wished it would have been against a better opponent. Missouri, a team that should have lost to Middle Tennessee St and lost to Kansas, hung tight and pulled off a huge fourth quarter. It’s tough to look at. Huskers were sitting pretty and so was I. You’ve got to figure with our defense we hold them. But when the offense can’t move the ball and leaves the opposition with short fields to work with, they can’t hold them.

Four fumbles and an interception. The one that probably pisses me off the most is Davis on the 4 trying to catch a punt. What the f#*k, plain and simple. You also got to think that Missouri was due for a big game on offense, yeah some of their points came off of trick plays, but that’s football, they didn’t cheat, they had to do this if they were going to win and they did. All game long they ran play action passes to keep the Blackshirt defense off balance. Good game plan. Nebraska has no one to blame, but themselves and their poor play. Remember 5 turnovers. Just a disappointing game. We couldn’t handle the crowd either.

Nebraska is now ranked 14th in the coaches poll and to be honest that’s a gift. I’d think we would be around #20. Wait till the AP comes out. All of our previous opponents with the exception of Okie St., which is showing its true colors beating up on the Barnies Saturday, lost. This says we are not as good as we think. For this season to be a success we must beat someone were not supposed to. Texas, K-St, Colorado. All these teams I believe to be as good or better than NU. I really do.

A look around the Big 12 and Oklahoma is just amazing. You may not want to hear this, but if Oklahoma can keep this up, they will be pushing the ’95 Huskers for greatest all-time team. Criticize all you want they are getting the job done on all phases of the game. Miami may have a shot, but that’s it. Va Tech, a much overrated team as it is mainly because of the Big least conference, will get destroyed by OKLAHOMA. They just beat up on the #11 team in the land. And kicked the sh#t out of them.

In the same boat with Nebraska and the “it was bound to happen” department, Ohio St. finally lost. Miami easily beat Florida St. And the rest really doesn’t matter because nobody will beat Oklahoma, although the final game of the year against Okie St. Will be interesting.

The next game versus A&M will be very important. If we fall look for another 7-7 year or something like that. Although I do believe the Huskers are much better this year. Nebraska will win in its typical fashion, running and throwing two or three long pass plays to win it. NU 23 A&M 14

Folks we lost to a team that was ready and didn’t fold. Nebraska did. But hey look who else lost…f'ing’ Kansas St (4-3)., It makes things a little easier.

I watched the game last night and I saw vintage jammal lord. Looking all big 12 one minute then a jacka$$ the next. It seemed like nothing went our way last night. fumbles in the rain to many offsides, and other penalties. Mizzou was fired up and they had an extra week. It sucks but you know this is what was going to happen eventually. I still think this team is moving in the right direction.

I have grown up a cubs fan so I know about looking at the future. This year was not supposed to be our year from the start. This team is still young and I think Joe Dailey can eventually take NU to the next level and reestablish their dominance. Texas am becomes very important now.

Sucks but I am still encouraged by this team and the coaching staff, this team is still a lot of fun to watch and leaps and bounds ahead of last year.

TOugh game.....the team has to stick together. With all the loses in the Big 12 North, the Huskers easily have a good chance at winning it. K-St., although I still can't believe it, will lose another game or so. That defense just isn't what it used to be. Sproles and Roberson are very dangerous.

Go Big Red ;)

I know husker fans are notorious for making more excuses than a trailer park queen does for her whiskey tango husband with a dotted eye and 3 teeth in her hand, but Im not making one here. Just stating a fact. The rain RUINED us. We were on a roll. Then the rain came. On a surface that isn’t native to us. And we fell apart. Simple as that. :(

Im not kidding. I saw flashes of the old days when we wrecked MU every game- at least the past 24 anyway. Our D looked tough, aggressive, faster, and much more athletic than their O. We had that nicely developed pass play down the left sideline for a TD. Beautiful play. Great blocking, all that. :)

Then the rain. Then all of a sudden our speed was neutralized. We were prepared to play on grass – just not wet grass. The rain made the game more random. Put it in the hands of the odds and probabilities and all that happenstance bullsh#t. And the odds were definitely against us. After 24 straight, and that gift from Oz in ’97, we couldn’t expect it to last – like the others said. <_<

And when the x-factor is neutralized it makes it much easier to lose as a result of one of the following 1) 24 inarow 2) Hostile environment – very hard to get momemtum 3) Trickery – fake FG, which could’ve gone either way, but it didn’t b/c we used up our Faurot luck in ‘97. And when you even the playing fields and roll the dice, odds are snake eyes will burn you sooner or later.

And good lord is OU mean. Are you f’ing kidding me? They may as well book their trip to KC now for the Big 12 champ game, better yet send them the goods b/c unless the Chiefs suit up for the North at arrowhead, no team is even close right now. Very impressive. And scary to say the least. OU is definitely back, and not going anywhere soon. Brace yourselves for another dynasty type run ala the ‘70s for the spooners. They are getting texas sized truckloads of texas recruits as a result of their recent sales pitch in Dallas.

Now we just need a closing pitch of our own in Austin. Better yet lets take out the Naggies and Clones first. We owe those fuckfaces from Ames.

Oh like I need to mention it but MU fans are complete fucksticks, with 0 class, and dignity to match. Not saying we need to drop to their level. I am saying that we need’nt take their sh#t either. Just be on guard when youre around one of those loser fuckbags, they have some serious Husker envy. They have 0 tradition in any sport when you look at the trophy case, and never will b/c they are classless fu#*$.
