Huge Dilemma

I look at this a lot differently than everyone else.

There are only a few guys I want in Lincoln: Jeff Monken, Troy Calhoun, Brent Thompson, or Urban Meyer. Yes, I am willing to sell my soul for him.

It's option football (or Urban-ball), or die. Nothing else will bring us back.

Bill O'Brien? Gag me. Callahan 2.0

Aranda? Maybe, but as much or more of a risk than Frost

Campbell? Who knows if his stuff works in the B1G?

Chadwell? Maybe, but again, it's a risk.

Basically, it's as big or more of risk to fire Frost and hire anyone else. If we fire Frost, whatever recruiting classes we have in the next few years would be gutted. The guys we DO have would be hitting the portal by the dozens.

I actually think Frost can put it together next year with an easier schedule, maybe a healthy Martinez, or different quarterback. Maybe we build momentum going forward after that. If we fire him for another up-and-comer, we'll be left in the same lurch as '04 and '15, but longer, and worse. So far, we've been IN the games. Fire Frost? We MIGHT win 3, if we're lucky for the next 2 years while the next staff tries yet ANOTHER pro/spread scheme, losing recruiting battles against OSU, Michigan, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Penn State. Another 2 at least before we're even as competitive as we are now. No thanks.

Keep Frost. Unless we can get Monken, Calhoun, Thompson, or Urb.

I don't see how Frost can be retained at 3-9 (1-8) on a six game losing streak. He's going to have to beat somebody to give himself a chance to be retained.

Nope. You're forgetting that year 5 is year 3 and Saban went 7-6 his first season with the Crimson Tide. Geez.

Youth vs. experience- Its why 18 year olds don't play in the NFL. It's a talent or unmatured talent problem that's been masked by coaching.
Are you saying Frost is doing such a good job masking our unmatured talent deficiencies it makes up for the experience and keeps us close against Illinois and Purdue?

Our talent is on par with Illinois and Purdue- Martinez and lack of a reliable kicker lost us Purdue. The kicker and Cam Taylor Britt lost us Illinois. Well plus the two terrible Olinemen.

The one to Toure should have been caught.
never touched his hands

The kid threw 4 interceptions and totally blew several very open touchdown throws. He only plays well when it doesn’t count for anything

He did another one of those backyard football turnovers we were promised wouldn’t happen with a 4 year starter

Hes not a winner and if our coaching staff doesn’t have anyone else ready to go that is on them

How many times in the last 4 years have we been torched by a second or third team quArteback? It’s time to turn the page on Martinez and this coaching staff every single legitimate metric points to it

Brent Thompson
Had to look him up.  What is big draw about him?    Urb won't happen.

I can understand Monken and Calhoun. Why do you think they have an advantage over Chadwell?   We do need to differentiate ourselves from all of the schools that have similar offenses and have a greater recruiting base.  So, I see where you are going wt Monken, Calhoun and Chadwell.

We were worse than them all when he started.
We beat Illinois and Purdue in 2017 with Riley, we beat illinois in year 1 of Frost and lost by 2 scores to Purdue in year 1. Year 2 we beat Illinois and lost a 4pt game to Purdue, last year we lost to Illinois by 3 scores and beat Purdue by 2 scores, this year we lost to them both by 1 score....So we were worse when we started but beat 1 of them and we are still worse than them in year 4 and lost to both. Makes complete sense.
