Makes a lot of not super in-depth, one line posts. Sometimes they're angry, wisecracking, or inflammatory -- in the manner of a lot of other posters. Haven't seen anything recently that jumped out as egregious. Wouldn't be surprised if there are a few in his history, though.

 
Is this a trick question? I mean ... it's not another one of your socks or something, is it?

Definitely a Bo-leaver. Has been pretty negative for some time but I don't remember anything too out of line. A bit of a know-it-all. That is, he usually posts as "This is how it is" as opposed to "I think..." so he can be abrasive but not really over the top.

 
Not a sock of mine. He's a real guy from Kansas, runs a hunting/tourism company.

I just can't figure out what his point here is. He isn't sometimes negative, he's always negative. I seem to run across a lot of his posts, and I can't remember the last one that was in favor of anything. No player, coach, game result, nothing.

He maintains a low-enough level that he's never on the radar. He has no warnings but I have always thought he was just under the line.

Nothing about anything he's ever posted makes me think he's a Husker fan. He seems to be here only to take veiled shots at things. The team, other members, whatever he can.

He's really good at it, too.

So far (10 pages deep in his list of posts) I've found exactly one post I would consider non-negative. He posted that we'd miss AA dearly. Assuming that's a compliment to AA and not a dark cloud over next year's team.

Other than that, he's negative about everything: old staff, new staff, College Football Playoff, etc. etc. etc.

But he does love him some Jim Tressel. So there's that.

That's going back all 29 pages that the post history brings up. At 10 posts per page, that's almost 300 posts. He was supportive of AA and Jim Tressel.

 
Was that two posts out of 300? Because that's less than 1% of the time. That's crazy.

Can the guy really be that negative, or is he just screwing around?

 
Yeah, I see what you're getting at. I knew he was pretty negative but I thought it was mostly Pelini & Co. Apparently he's equal opportunity.

I get what you're saying, Eric, but this isn't an Ignore function issue. If he was just being weird that would be one thing. I started this thread to see if others thought, as I think, that he's just trolling the board.

The goal of the board is to create as much conversation as possible. This guy does the opposite.

And to be clear - I'm not advocating doing anything about him yet. I don't think he's crossed any lines, he's just close. I'm wondering if there's a creative idea on how to manage this kind of member. We could talk to him, but that's kinda boring.

But for him, message boards are the go-to place to gripe. If he's not truly a Husker fan, he's sure put a lot of time over the years into it.

I tend to go with the idea that he won't get much response because he isn't contributing much to any discussion. But if he's constantly fanning the flames with these zero content posts, that gets to be an issue. I think this was a good spotlight
