I think the only way this spreads out talent is if the roster limitations actually get implemented.  If they get the unlimited scholarships, without the roster limitations, it's very bad college sports.

And, it will be interesting to see how this affects football.  Where will they put the roster limitation?  100?  If so, that would be huge.

I don't think they're saying how or if this change might affect walk on's. Hopefully it won't and yes @BigRedBuster I agree, if the roster limitations don't get implemented this would negatively affect balance. I just can't imagine them doing only the scholarship change and not the roster limitations.

I don’t think it will result in better competition at the D1 level, and may actually reduce it. I think lower division teams  may benefit more. 
 

 I guess it would end the walk-on program. It might even cause some programs to drop baseball.  Walk-ons add more to the success of a team outside of playing time. 

 
They played Lincoln East and Millard South in the same week and he didn't pitch either game.  Don't throw your numbers out there when you avoid good comp.

Not the kids fault and hes really good but cmon coach,

I saw today that he was on the PBR uncommitted list so I looked back and saw he did decommit back in July.  probably no big deal as I see him drafted high enough to skip college anyways.
