If we catch up to PSU, let's do it REALLY slowly, so their coach doesn't get fired anytime soon.
We were 5th on that list when Frank was coach.  Michigan, OSU, Bama, Norte Dame were the only ones ahead of us.   Time to make up the ground that was lost.  Since then, OU  :ou1: , texas  :hookerhorns  & PSU have passed us up.

Why’d we fire Bo?

j/k- cause he said mean and true things about the fans, right?

Bo hasn't had a P5 head coaching job in ten years.

He hasn't been coaching anywhere in five years.

He was washed up the year before we fired him.

If he was a good coach he'd be working right now. He's a young man, as coaches go. That phone ain't ringing for a reason.

And he was good for us. The best in almost 25 years.

Maybe it’s not ringing because he has enough $ and decided to beach it. I don't know of any job that’s he wanted, do you?  You and I  have no idea what was going to happen if he stayed. I think he might of just spazzed out and died, but I don’t know.   You think it would have been worse than the Riley years?

and my comment wasn’t serious, but then you jump on your podium and start talking about how things would have been with no idea of how they would have played out. None of us do. What I do know, in that very short list of bowl appearances in the last 23-24ish years, he won the most.  That was the only reason for my comment.  It was just in jest and nothing more.

Nope. He was an a$$h@!e who brought it all on himself. If Husker fans were wrong, Bo would have a job right now. They weren't and he doesn't.

Bo actually wore out his welcome faster at Youngstown State and LSU, where the fans were less forgiving than Husker fans.

No. Bo was good for Bo.

Bo cared about Bo. You saw that whenever the chips were down. At no point did he ever wonder if his behavior was hurting Nebraska. It was always self-serving.

Bo Pelini hurt Nebraska's reputation because he didn't care to help it. In doing so, he hurt himself so much that he's never even sniffed another head coaching gig in a P5 program since Nebraska fired him.
