husker nation at war with itself

Yes!!

Thanks Steve Pederson.. I suspect if Riley finishes the season below 500 (very..VERY possible) he and the AD both may be gone soon.. the fans are not going to tolerate another Billy Callahan. May not be fair to Mike, but the cupboard was not bare when he took over the team.. with the talent on this team, 8-9 wins is realistic and Mike has already lost one of the "should have won" games. Hope Mike turns things around as I want NU to win (I don't want Mike to fail) but I have seen Riley coach the San Diego Charges and he struggled a lot and ending up either getting fired (or quitting), I don't remember which. After which he went immediately back to Oregon St.
Don't leave out Harvey!

That article is 95% garbage. He may have hit upon the extreme fringe elements of Husker Nation but that is it. It is mostly a narrative, made up in the recesses of his mind. There are not that many fans that don't think Pelini should've been fired. There just aren't but yes, the few of them that do exist, post freely on message boards, and to my understanding, on social media. If you want to use the fringe and then make up a story that fits your agenda.......I guess whatever floats your boat.
Yep....I know several Hawkeye fans, and even in that small sampling, they are almost dead split between loving or hating Ferentz....and oddly enough, their announcer. These guys are all about the same age, same background and same educational level (non of them Iowa grads by the way). It happens in the best (ours) and worst (theirs) fan bases. Heheh...I know one of them reads these posts......LOL. I don't so much mind Iowa, but I love to jab this particular group of guys.

Riley could finish with a losing record both this year and next year and I still think that he'll be given a 3rd year... last thing Pederson wants to do is admit he made the wrong hire. Firing Riley would be his absolute last option -- hopefully it won't get that far.

What it all comes down to is people are just passionate about their Huskers. I think we could all try a little harder to get along better.

"Pelini supporters war on reality" would be a more apt title. Just slightly ahead of "Husker bloggers war for clicks."

Where did this KazLong dude go? It was just getting good. With the name Kaz in his handle, I'm not surprised someone jumped him for his comments. When he says "brother in law" I bet he means his wife. And when he says "private conversation" I bet he means public domestic abuse. And when he says "threats of physical violence" I bet he means a bystander prevented him from slapping his wife around in public.

Anyway, someone mentioned the real reason Solich was fired. I have not heard this story - anyone willing to share?
