In a secondary hoping to make significant strides this spring after a roller-coaster 2015, Jones, a junior from Jacksonville, Florida, is penciled in as the No. 1 “field” or wide-side corner. On the opposite side of the defense, junior Joshua Kalu from Houston is the No. 1 “boundary” corner, where coaches will count on him to be more active against the run.

We need our DBs to step up this year. Had a tough time back there last Sept/October.

What is the word on Eric Lee getting meaningful playing time?

I'm sure Kalu and Jones will start out as the top CBs but Lee should be the next guy in that line. I would think he'd be a #2 guy at one of the CB spots.

I remember them being really high on him last year, excited to see what he can do.
