Yes; the idea is that you can kind of protect your personal email address by using the Huskerboard.com address. And it can make it easy for members to contact us via email even if they can't log on. Just use the format <username>@huskerboard.com. Easy for members to remember.

 
Made it back.

But my forwarding doesn't seem to be working now. I set it up and tested it when we first got the accounts and it worked fine but it's not now. Is that still trying to be resolved with Ann and Nancy Wilson?

Edit: Doesn't look like emails are going through from my huskerboard account to hotmail. Perhaps they are still working on it but it did work for awhile. No only is a forward not working but just a plain send didn't go through either.

Okay, long story short, go to your account to which your Huskerboard account is forwarded. Check the Spam or Junk folders. If you see the Huskerboard emails in those folders, select all of them and click the "Is Not Spam" option (may be named differently if you use something other than Gmail). Once enough of these are marked as Not Spam, it should remove the filter.

 
I have been receiving forwarded emails from the new @huskerboard account to my personal email.

This may just be me being stupid, but if I reply to an email I get from a member, will that just go to my @huskerboard email or will it go back to the member, and will it go back as my @huskerboard account? I presume the answer is yes, which is why we've set this up, but just wanted to be sure.

 
If you just hit Reply in your personal account, it will go just to the member. If you hit Reply to All, it will go to the member and a copy to your personal account.

 
Should have added - if you reply from your personal account it will show to the recipient your personal account information. You need to log in to your Huskerboard account to reply if you want the reply to show your Huskerboard address.

 
OK. It did go through to my hotmail account now but put it in Junk. It didn't even get there before (unless I missed it). I marked it as legit so hopefully it's going now.

Also tried the forwarding and it's working as well. Hopefully I'm good to go.

 
Someone must have unclogged the pipe because now I'm getting the tests I sent earlier. A test I sent at 8:30 this morning just came through along with two things sent last night.

 
Are these still active?  I noticed several months ago that the flood of junk mail I used to get completely stopped.  I just tried to send a test email from my personal email but it didn't go through.  Although an email sent from my HuskerBoard email to my personal email did go through.
