Huskerboard vs Hedley

So hedley wanted his veggy thread deleted because it quickly transpired into 90% talk about meat and how great it is. He then asked that the meaters create their own thread. They did, and ironically, called it "vegetarian favorites". It's 100% talk about meat. Its got 49 replies in roughly 18 hours. The true veggie thread has died. Coincidence?
I don't know what you are implying but I started the "Vegetarian Favorites" and am not a Hedley sock. I'm fairly laid back about most things and even though there was a lot of misinformation in Hedley's vegetarian thread I contributed to it with whatever information I had that might be helpful to vegetarians. When PuttingUp6 posted something about not killing animals and some other nonsense I must have snapped. I'm not confessing to intentionally wrecking a thread but I wasn't displeased that shortly after posting in that thread, Hedley asked that it be deleted and PuttingUp6 wanted his account deleted. I was still feeling that the universe was not balanced so I followed Hedley's suggestion and created the meat eater thread with an unfortunately confusing title of "Vegetarian Favorites". I used the tags "vegetarian" and "vegan" in case vegetarians want to search for useful and truthful information about preparing and consuming meat like humans are meant to.

I have no idea what youre talking about. The point I was making was that pretty much everyone is NOT a vegetarian. A veggie thread died because it was mostly about meat. A new one started, and it's all about meat. Must be a simple misunderstanding? I thought you named it veggie thread as a joke.

I wasn't sure what your point was so I thought I should clarify. A lot of words for something that is obvious :) . I wouldn't expect many people that would be on HB to be vegetarians. Yes the title was a joke as is my characterization of it being "an unfortunately confusing title".

You better walk away b!^@h

OK, snapped might have been an exageration :rollin

Thank you. And, I was trying to poke fun at Hedley. chuckleshuffle
Hedley is almost too easy of a target. Now he's posting in the meat eaters thread as if he's not a vegetarian.
His original veggie thread was pre-suspension Hedley. You know, the spitting Hedley. Now he plays nice. You know, the swallowing hedley.
So it's likely Hedley thought it was the meat lovers thread instead of the meat eaters thread?

I have only been vegan for less than a year....what is the problem with stating what my favorite cut of meat was? Isn't that what was happening in that thread? My thread was intended for veggies and yours for meat...you won't hear me talking about my favorite veggie burger in your meat eater thread

A great way to show you why exactly a person would be Vegan or vegetarian is to watch the documentary Vegucated. You can watch it on Netflix even. Best way to explain it to someone is that documentary I have found.

Me personally, I absolutely love steak, chicken etc you name it. However the way in which the livestock we eat is punished and treated isn't humane and honestly makes me cringe. I have also found that when filling myself with plant based and whole grain meals I don't have the same crappy feeling I used to with a big steak. Other things such as the correlation between red meat consumption and cardiovascular disease and cancer were things I would prefer to try to avoid.
Since you are vegucated I wouldn't expect you to be in the meat eater's thread talking about meat. I would think it would make you cringe.
