Huskers Vs. Zags Game 1

i think it is going to take a couple weeks to work out all the kinks and get the lineup and positions set up for what the coaches want. remember they are still feeling things out

 
and thats a wrap.... i think the skers got some things from this that they can take back and work on

Well, I told a friend that we'd be swept this weekend and that I'd be pleasantly surprised with going 1-2. Having said that, this game is beyond frustrating. We've had WAAAAAY to many chances to win this.

Totally. I mean, they've been practicing for almost a whole month now, they should have been ready to go undefeated and bring home Nebraska's first ever national championship. Fire him now, they obviously can't win a game. It's too bad the season is only 4 hours long and consists of only one game. If only they played for a few months and had 50 some games so that one loss wouldn't matter and they would have time to progress and figure out which guys fit where and who could rise up when the team needed them.... oh well. There's always next year.

lol... there are 55 games + left. i think we will get a feel of how this team is going to stand up against the competition over the coming weeks

I'm not giving up yet, because the Big Ten is just that bad, but I've been against the Erstad hiring from day one. I hope he proves to be a better coach than I think he will.

Don't tell Michigan St and Minnesota how bad the Big Ten is supposed to be.....both had solid wins today.

Look, I have zero confidence in Erstad because I think it was a terrible idea to hire someone who had NEVER been a paid coach simply because he was an ex-husker and an ex-major leaguer. You apparently think differently. That's fine, whatever. I hope I'm wrong. For the record, we made numerous fundamental mistakes, mistakes the other team didn't make. You wanna give them a pass for that be my guest, I'll choose to see if this becomes a habit.

I didn't expect much from this series, as I said earlier I expect us to get swept and will be pleasantly surprised if we win one, but last night's performance (especially defensively) was actually worse than I expected.

Maybe I'm willing to give him a pass just because he inherited a team that sucked to begin with?

So if we're as bad or worse than last year, are you still giving him a pass? How big a pass does he get?
