If/When Rex comes back, who starts?

Rex has a ton of support from Husker fans (well deserved IMO) but upon his return should A.A. still be the primary back? Has he earned that position during Rex's absence?

I'm concerned that Rex will have a bit of rust in a part of the season where we cant afford to be getting anybody back up to speed.

 
Does it matter? I think they should split the carries almost 50/50 depending on who's doing the best. Rex is still Rex, but Abdullah has done an OUTSTANDING job in Rex's absence.

 
The handful of snaps that Rex took before the two re-injuries he looked pretty dang good--even with a knee brace. Fast and hungry.

If/when Rex comes back, I think he explodes on the other team and AA comes in just to spell him when he needs a breather.

 
Can Rex receive a medical redshirt? Not sure if he'd want to come back due to graduation but maybe if he's eligible. Just a thought.

Just heard on the Big Red pregame show...it was reported that Rick, Rex's dad, stated that it is more than likely that Rex will see playing time for the BIG10 championship game, and not likely today.

Maybe put Rex in during 4th quarter if we're way ahead, just so he can get rid of some of the rust? I don't know. It's so cold and so easy to get hurt again.
