To Which School Will Curtis Commit?

Planning to visit all of his Top 6 schools - Kentucky, Mississippi State, Nebraska, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Virginia - before making a decision.  

First OV will be to Nebraska for the Northern Illinois game.

 
Kind of an odd situation here.  Four-star on Rivals but much lower on 247.  Word is we are still working here and are in a good spot.

Took a lot of visits last year and over the summer but doesn't seem to have taken any visits this year.  Perhaps he's been busy but that's also something that tends to happen with academic risks.

Rivals - been to camps and given them $$

247 - hasnt been to camps, no $$

Rivals ranking higher, probly little too high

247 ranking lowet, probly little too low

So, most likely true ranking somewhere in between

 
Word is he always liked Nebraska but was expected to stay closer to home which made Vandy a likely destination.  However, the story is the uncertainty around Vandy's program has him expanding his view and now he's seriously looking at Nebraska plus a couple others.

 
Still hasn't taken an OVs.  Unofficially visiting Arkansas this weekend and Vanderbilt next weekend.

I'm thinking this has to be an academic risk.

Schools are going to let him unofficially visit all he wants to because they have nothing to lose out of the deal. The fact they are unofficials and not OV's is the telling thing.

Yeah....that's not a good thing.  Don't the recruits have to be at a certain level of academic qualification to be able to actually take official visits?

Pretty much what Warrior10 said.  It is odd that he's visiting Vandy if that were the case.  But the really odd thing is that he's taking visits but no OVs.  If it was just that he wasn't taking any visits, it might be because he's busy or whatever.  But now that he's taking visits but they still aren't OVs seems really odd.

Yes, there are some guidelines.  I don't know exactly what they are off hand but it basically amount to you have to be "on track" to qualify before you can take OVs.
