Nebraska and Miami are in a big battle for linebacker Keyshawn Greene. The defender runs well and can play inside or outside at the position. Ivins said he thinks Greene might be the top linebacker in the state. He recently decommitted from Florida State and is visiting the Huskers over a trip back to Tallahassee, where he was committed to Willie Taggart’s staff for two seasons. Miami is expected to go in-home with Greene as well.
Where might things sit for the linebacker and could the Huskers steal this one?
“It seems like Nebraska has somehow wedged their foot in the door in this one,” he said. “If that visit happens, you would have to think Florida State is out. Is the kid going to sign with a school where he hasn’t spent much time with the head coach in Mike Norvell?
“I think it could be Miami or Nebraska and I will say the determining factor could be whether mom visits Nebraska, because she didn’t visit Miami.”
