That commercial with the backup drivers reminds me of my wife and out boat, but i grab her butt rather than smack it at the dock when she takes 10 mins to come pick me up because she's scared she'll run it into the dock.  It's a giant ish show but eventually we get the boat out.

I know people that set up chairs at the boat launch just for this 

We have them here, they tend to pull up when they see the wife backing up and thats when i get her into the boat and just do it myself.  Got the remote trolling motor last week so this will be so much easier tomorrow when we hit the lake, put it in, have her put the terrova down and boom, i will move her to the dock and she can sit there.
