You can want to keep Pelini around all you want however I cannot comprehend how a person could possibly support the sh#t show we put on against any team on the big stage. When something of value is on the line we fold and have for all of Bos tenure.Why do you want Bo? What is your reasoning? Worried we might be worse? I bet We won't win any fewer titles without him

It's easy to say we won't win any less since he hasn't won any. I get that. Hell we should have just kept Callahan. Who would come here and coach?

Gary Gibbs lasted six seasons at Oklahoma, followed by Howard Schnellenberger who lasted one season. John Blake, his replacement, only lasted three. I bet they are sure glad they did not settle for Blake in fear of nobody wanting to come coach there.

You know, if Callahan would had been willing to ditch his DC for one more competent, he'd still be coaching here, right?
It's the same damn situation again, only we're asking our HC to ditch the OC. If Bo does and gets one that's competent, we're rolling in titles and laughing about all of this.

I don't expect anyone to agree with me liking Bo here. It is what it is. His d-cord got his but whooped. I just feel there are others on the staff doing worse then him but are still around!

I'll take your side on this. I like Bo and I think in some respects he has been a success at Nebraska.

The program is definitely improved from the BC era and I commend him on that. Since Bo did improve the program his first few years I believe that he has the knowledge to improve the program.

My only issue with Bo is that the program has hit a ceiling under him the last few years. In his first 2-3 years he brought us from having a horrible team to a team that was being competitive and led us to 3 conference title games which was definitely a step in the right directions.

In the last 2-3 years we have been stagnant as a team that is good but not good enough to be considered with the top teams/programs.

If Bo can make the changes needed to get over that hump and bust through that ceiling I would like nothing more than having him on the sidelines.

If Bo can't or isn't willing to make the admittedly tough changes then I feel it is our best interest to have long discussions with the power that be about possibly changing directions with the program.

With that said I definitely believe Nebraska can and will be a power again.

our longest run was done by our punter. i think the problems are as across the board, top to bottom as they possibly could be.

Hedley makes a great point, Wisconsin isn't exactly brimming with more talent than we are. They are just using their talent to beat the living crap out of us.

Wisconsin has a system and an identity, and they recruit to it.
I can't even hasten a guess to what Nebraska even thinks it is at this point. Let alone how to recruit to it.

Coordinators don't need to be fired, QB does not need his own coach. Those coordinators just went 8-2 with a buncha 2* and 3* kids. QB has second-most yards in Big 10 behind J.T. Barrett running behind a buncha 2* and 3* linemen and throwing to a buncha 2* and 3* receivers.

Most of us are still reeling from the catastrophic loss yesterday. There is a lot of speculation and a some desperation throughout Husker Nation. We used to have genuine program "insiders" who would give us information as they could, one in particular was never wrong. Can anyone shed light on our current situation? Is the decision still being made? Is there a timeline?

I understand that these things are time and delivery sensitive but somebody knows and when it makes sense to do so, we'd like to know too. Heck, PM someone you trust and let them be the puppet if necessary.

There is a lot more going on than just boss (Eichorst) evaluating employee's (Pelini) performance and then making a decision. There is the Board of Regents (at least one of which is personal friends with Bo), Perlman, the big boosters and even some influence (perhaps indirectly at this point) from TO still. A lot of politics.
