Insurrection fallout

This committee has been pretty amazing thus far.
This committee has been the best well ran congressional proceedings and process of my lifetime.

And, Republican leadership can take zero credit for it. In fact, they are basically on trial.

But, like you said, they ain’t smart.

I don't know who's actually responsible for the "production" of this committee, but they are either a damn good lawyer or an extremely detailed person. The way every interview and piece of evidence has been setup and tied to the case as a whole is simply brilliant. This is exactly how the government should work!

Actually, they hired this guy to do it, which makes sense of why it's so organized...

For almost a year, the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol has been painstakingly collecting interviews with 1,000 witnesses and producing over 140,000 documents.

Now, its challenge is to turn the findings of an in-depth inquiry into something digestible for a public with a short attention span and competing priorities — and tell them something new about an attack they watched play out in real time.

It has brought on a veteran TV executive to help do the job, hiring James Goldston, the former president of ABC News, to produce the hearings as if they were a docudrama or a must-watch mini-series.

the problem is that almost all Republicans are working against the committee.    many of them allied with trump and many not wanting to admit what Trump was.  heck....it looks like 1 of our right wingers here has given you the laugh emoji for stating that the committee was doing a good job.   they will forever defend Trump.

We had to know the Jan 6th committee had corroboration, the receipts, to Hutchinson's testimony.  We also knew the right-wing disinformation machine would be cranked up disputing her assertion, wrongly, knowing facts don't matter to the cult.

Soon after the Supreme Court rules in favor of subverting the will of the people by overturning how our elections have been run for 250 years this will be the norm.  Nice knowing you, Liberal Democracy.
