I didn't even know that was the rule, I see returners do that all the time.It was definitely interference, but the question is was Davie off the hook?
Announcer said that NCAA rules state that a single wave of the arm is NOT a legal signal for a fair catch, but rather a wave of the hand several times.
Can anyone confirm this?

Okay. I wasn't concerned about the interference call, it just caught me off guard that they said the single hand wave wasn't technically a fair catch. It struck me as odd that a player has to wave his arm or hand more than once to signal a fair catch. I wasn't sure if there was a difference between NFL and NCAA rules on that.It was a fair catch signal, and yes, the call was legit. Just a boneheaded play by Davie.
