Hey y'all. I am new here so I thought I would say hello. I hail from Lincoln, NE but will soon be moving to the big city, Omaha, for my career. I hope to provide a little insight and humor. I am a bit of a sunshine-pumper and a heavy kool-aid drinker.
1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation?
25 years.
2) What/who led you to The Nation?
I was born into Husker Nation. My Mom threatened to put me up for adoption if I ever cheered against the Huskers. I haven't tested her threat and I don't plan to.
3) Where are you from originally?
The Lincoln area.
4) Where do you live now?
Right outside of Lincoln.
5) Favorite Husker memory?
Watching Nebraska win the 1994 championship. One of my first memories.
6) Worst Husker memory?
I can't remember what year, but it was the year that Texas beat us in Lincoln when it was absolutely freezing and snowing.
7) Number of home games attended?
Probably somewhere in the 50 range
8) Number of away games attended?
5 or so.
9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel?
1994 Championship Wheaties box signed by a lot of the team or my Brook Berringer jersey that I nearly lost when I broke up with an ex-gf.

The purpose of this is to share and learn about your fellow members of Husker Nation. We know it sounds kinda cheesy - but it will be pretty cool to get an up close look at the heartbeat of Husker Nation - the fans.

1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation?
Since 1970 - I was in 8th grade and my first real memory was the 1st Nat'l Champ game against LSU.
2) What/who led you to The Nation?
Living in S.D. there were no other major college teams to pull for nearby. I got tired of watching N. Dame on Sunday morning reply - my Dad's team because it is a Catholic school.
I became the fanatical Husker fan.
3) Where are you from originally?
Parker, S.D - 30 miles SW of Sioux Falls
4) Where do you live now?
As the names says - Tulsa
5) Favorite Husker memory?
Being in the crowd at Memorial Stadium. Cannot beat that.
Beating Miami 1994 NCG and the beat down of Florida and the national press one year later.
6) Worst Husker memory?
Loosing to Miami 1983 and FSU 1993- (almost kicked the TV on that one)
7) Number of home games attended?
One - hope to get to attend more.
8) Number of away games attended?
2 - Vs OU during Stoops miracle NC run in 2000
and last year (2010) vs OSU - best TM passing game yet.
9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel?
All of my hats and my wind breaker - but also all of my stuff I have in my office - ticks off the OU fans which

I've been a husker fan since, probably, birth. I often went to the games when they played down here and have only been to one game in Lincoln. Hey everybody! Buckeye fan from N.W. Ohio here. After lurking here for a while I decided to join. I've enjoyed the mutual respect I've seen betwen Husker and Buckeye fans on Buckeye Planet, and it's nice to see that the two fan bases seem to hold each other in high regard. Always a Nebraska fan (except when they play tOSU of course!).

Hello Husker Board!
I have followed Nebraska athletics for several years, particularly football and volleyball, and decided to join this forum. I wouldn't consider myself a true "fan" but I would like to eventually reach that level. Overall I am pretty big fan of college football. I respect the Nebraska program and enjoy reading and learning about the rich Husker tradition whenever possible. I hope to learn a lot from being a member of this board and from its members. :B) May you inspire me to be a member of Husker Nation!
