Heard on the radio yesterday that those boys aren't practicing right now. They're filling sandbags to help keep Ames dry. I can respect that.

This might be a worthless thread. Mods, feel free to delete if need be.

The volleyball court in Hilton Coliseum is floating on 8-10 feet of water:

Looked at all the pictured of this yesterday. My wife is headed to Aimes next week for school, and it's all still up in the air because the floods have pretty much just stopped the city in its tracks.

Pretty awful stuff. Hope they get back to normal soon. It's cool that the team is helping out tossing sand bags. This is probably the last distraction you would want as a head coach for your team.

Tell her to take a lot of bottled water as Ames has none at the moment and doesn't expect to get their treatment plant up and running again till the middle of next week at the earliest...no drinking, showering or flushing till then.

It's not really a problem for those of us that drink beer exclusively...

Very nice move by the football team. I respect that alot. Hope the water goes down soon and things get back to normal. Stick in there Ames.

Just what they need to prepare for their murderers row of a schedule. Have you seen that thing? Geesh. @Iowa, Utah, @Oklahoma, @Texas. 8 bowl teams from last year all together. :LOLtartar
