It's just a personal thing with me, but I never support these recruiting services because they get much of their news by harassing the recruits, and those players get enough of that as is. Some players relish the attention, but this is already a very stressful process.

It's just a personal thing with me, but I never support these recruiting services because they get much of their news by harassing the recruits, and those players get enough of that as is. Some players relish the attention, but this is already a very stressful process. 

I have always wondered about that. It seems like every time I'm listening to one of the local 'recruiting' guys (i.e. Nate Clouse) he's always saying things like 'yeah, I just talked to him this weekend' or language to suggest he talks to them routinely. And it always makes me think - just how often are you really talking to this guy? Either you're embellishing the regularity or you're actually talking to him once or twice a week.

This then begs the question if that if you're calling the recruit at least once or more a week and texting, how many other recruiting guys out there are doing it for just that one kid? 10, 15, 20 or more? It has to be exhausting for some recruits. I get they have a job to do, but it's definitely big business nowadays.
